I was living in basements and rarely my own. Illuminated smoke from the TV glow i was standing around. And it was psyching me out seeing the back of my head. Sitting in that lawn chair right next to my friend. With those scratches on your chest, oh the world had not been blessed by us.
It never happens how you planned it. They'll always leave you in the dust. When all your fears have you surrounded. They will leave you dead like the rest of us.

I held my breath for so long that I forgot how to live. And i won't say that i've done nothing wrong, I know that I did. Was it a competition to see how far we could get? I held my breath for so long that I felt my energy running out like the water is. And now I wanna live.
Before we waste away let's do our best please to change this place. Love each other for who we are i swear its not so hard. You're always saying lets just let it be, well let's not take that so literally. The earth is dying there are things that it needs, so why are we giving up so easily? You can't pick and choose. You'll either win or you will lose.

Somehow the water is still clear. I can't tell what's going on here. The madness is controlling my mind. I can't get it out in time to revive it in the spring.
